Description
SOUTH CAROLINA, 1780. Judith Heyward’s father left her four years ago. She dreads his return, wondering if she can really trust him. Soon after Heyward’s arrival in British-controlled Hartsville, tensions rise. Gunpowder is stolen from the British barracks. A Patriot shop owner is arrested for treason. Caught up in the conflict between British soldiers and the Patriots, Judith and her father struggle to sort out their troubled relationship.
